All this talk abt shipping is making me want to finish the s u p e r fucked up story I was writing in ~7th grade
from what I recall? it was a woman being held captive by this wizard who was using her as a conduit for his magic, and the magic was like a drug to her but left her completely at his mercy
so the first half was her getting more and more dependent and incoherent and even a bit stockholm-syndrome-y on her captor, and the latter half was her realizing he was using her as a conduit to do some terrible shit, running away and going through withdrawal and trying to stop him while fighting a crippling amount of trauma
I stopped at the time because a teacher found it and was like “IS THIS A CRY FOR HELP” (it was not) but I’m p sure I still have the notebooks somewhere………
Man oh man I dug up the actual text and hilariously enough I put warnings on the front page that it was “rated PG-13 if not higher, it’s just a story but it talks about violence and addiction and some really dark stuff, maybe don’t read it unless I tell you to?”
it’s cute that not only have I always been into this kind of thing, I’ve also always been saying “it’s just a story” and giving content warnings even when writing in my own damn notebook
also, if I’m doing my math correctly, I was not yet old enough to be reading my own story by that measure
