the most painful social interactions are when you miscalculate someone’s meme literacy and reference something and the person/group doesn’t get it and u have to half-heartedly explain it knowing FULL well it’s 0% funny if people don’t have the full convoluted context of the joke and u feel the flames of hell start to lick at ur feet as they all give u a pity laugh
hey guys remember when lifejournal deleted whole journals trying to purge the porn claiming it was done “to protect minors”, when in reality they deleted a whole lot of queer and fandom communities
and everyone jumped ship to tumblr because tumblr didn’t censor their queer user-base
now that having basically any image in your posts places you at risk of getting flagged for “sensitive content” by the new algorithms, we’re just going have to start posting our reaction images in text format
