rich ppl are like so easily convinced abt ghosts I remember growing up it was near this vacant lot and whenever I broke a toy instead of going to face the wrath of my mother I would fucking bury it in that lot and then sure enough, some dude tried to develop the land and found a ton of buried rotten dolls and shit and told everyone it was haunted

it’s been over a decade and that lot is still vacant

You single handedly tanked the value of someone’s prime real estate and that makes me happy

As soon as I read this I immediately started thinking of ways to do this on purpose to get cheap land and I was five posts down my dash before I realised I was becoming Scooby Doo villain

Stay clear of stoners with talking dogs and you’re good.

Christian Soriano is bae

AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE HE GOT THAT FROM

I remember the season Christian was in. And he had a problem (because he was fresh out of fashion school) with understanding how to dress bigger women. And Tim Gunn, who has always been a proponent of needing to design fashion for more natural sizes, helped him to get out of that mind set by planting the seed. That growth we see is from this amazing fashion teacher!

The guy in the sleeping bag wiggling around

I’m weeping

The two people in the front wearing one shirt.

Are we really not going to talk about the guy in the back who is attached to another guy’s back while spinning?

WHAT ABOUT THE GUY THAT FALLS OUT OF THE WINDOW

WHY IS IT BACK

no you guys don’t understand, not only is this the first harlem shake out there… these guys aren’t normal military. This is “Telemarkbataljonen”. They’re pretty much the Norwegian equivalent of the fucking black ops. My brother knows a guy in this battalion, and when asked what they do there, he looked my brother dead in the eye and said “That is strictly confidential”. These guys are hard as shit, which makes this even more hilarious

Don’t bring this meme back

BRING THIS MEME BACK.

I WILL ALAWYAS REBLOG THE NORWEGIAN SPECIAL OPS HARLEM SHAKE!

The guy smacking his head against the building

ok.. but how did you all miss the guy middle left whose wearing a latex fullbody suit

the fact that it’s mostly non-latines or U.S.-born latines that say that Latin History for Morons is Great and Funny and latines who live in Latin America are saying it’s racist, problematic, and just genuine misinformation should tell you a lot about the trainwreck that is that show. it should be alarming that most of the positive reviews are only coming from people that aren’t who the show targets and misrepresents.

if you’re actually genuinely interested in Latin (the first red flag is calling it “Latin” in the first place) Latin American history then you should definitely consult latines from Latin America, and also peer reviewed and published works about Latin America from scholars, especially those that are not influenced by U.S. centrisim.

start by reading Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano (free pdf) to get an understanding of the affect of U.S. imperialism on Latin America. watch director John Pilger’s free documentary The War On Democracy to learn about how U.S. military intervention has impacted Latin American politics and people. understand how racism persists in Latin America and how these racial perceptions differ from those of the U.S. in past and present by reading this free scholarly article.

one last reminder: non-latines, we need to be better at giving voice to latines from Latin America about Latin American issues and history. at the very least, we need to be able to notice when history is being rewritten according to U.S. Centrism/Imperialism and white-washing. understand that any relic of “history” that contains any of those things is likely not an accurate representation, especially when it’s about Latin America.
