this situation is literally not because tumblr decided to keep children ‘safe’ from nsfw on a known-to-be mature site, it’s to get rid of the porn bots, pedophillia, and child porn. cry me a river

I know that, brave brave anon. Good to know, now they can find it literally everywhere else.

If you think the internet can be that easily monitored, you must be new around.

Also, this is not PBS kids official website. Adults shouldnt be monitored by the same standards kids do. If underaged kids and teens choose to enter these sites, such as tumblr, deviant art, and other art sharing websites, they should be aware of the certain dangers that are involved.

Im not saying we should exclude kids from using tumblr or being around here. This is why the safe mode was made.

And also, do you really trust tumblr to tell what is nsfw and what not? Ive seen disturbing enough things that passed under its radar.

So like, yay, less hentai. Good for us. Also, really good art that might for some reason be classified as nsfw could go entirely unnoticed. Maybe it used a swear word. Maybe some violence was shown. Where does the line cross, for tumblr? Do you know? Because i don’t. They might be censoring more than just blatant pedo stuff. Remember when they decided anything lgbt+ related was considered nsfw?
