Tumblr users have for years been asking tumblr staff to do something about the porn bots, the nazis, the pedophiles on this site and staff has done nothing, but now that letting these things fester might affect their ability to make money they’re scrambling to take action 🤔
Its a simple case of “why fix the problem if we’re still making money?” Its cheaper to ignore the problem until it hinders revanue rather than fix it on the spot, as much as tumblr is a website its also a buisness, and most Businesses wont bother to fix a problem for the users until it becomes a problem for them
