Republicans have ended being civil since forever.

• The current president propagandized that the only black President was a secret-Kenyan Muslim Agent.  Because he’s a racist and peddled the racism in the Republican Party to win their primary.
• There are sitting republican representatives that have plead guilty to assaulting reporters who asked them questions.
• There’s famously footage of a different Republican Congressman threatening reporters with assault on camera.
• In 200 in Florida, Republican operatives literally tried to storm where the votes were being recounted to terrify and scare the people into not recounting the vote.
• Republican lawmakers passed around Harambe memes that the “wrong guerilla” got shot, referring to Michelle.
• There are literally dozens of court-legislated incidents of Republicans gerrymandering and enforcing laws with explicit racist intent (purposefully trying to keep black people from voting because they’re black) all across the country for decades now.

For years now the Republican Party has been the obnoxious bullshit bully in the first chapter of any generic fantasy story.  Punches you in the face, sneers because his daddy has money, and cries like a bitch when you do anything about them being well-entrenched shitheels.
